Rob Downey, creator and owner of Annamaet Pet Foods and 2006 ISDRA Gold Medalist in both the 8 and 10 dog class, will speak on how heat stress affects our canine athletes. Rob, as a grad student under Dr. David Kronfeld at the University of Pennsylvania, studied canine nutrition as well. Come join internationally renowned yoga therapist (and musher), Beryl Birch for some introductory yoga stretching and bending and strength work. Very do-able. You don’t need to be flexible (who is?). Learn a fabulous, powerful breathing technique that you can do anywhere to keep you calm, centered, present, and focused, even in the midst of chaos – whether in training, racing or life. If you are stiff, tight, achy, injured, recovering from injury, or just plain beat up from a winter of driving, pedaling, running after your team, shoveling, chopping, harnessing, scooping, and hauling your weary self around, this is for you! Don’t be shy. Be here, you’ll love this stuff. Wear clothes you can move in – no jeans!! Lastly, our welcoming committee will be comprised of Harris Dunlap, long time ISDRA member/supporter, successful breeder and competitor and Chet Killam, past NESDC Chief Judge and Terri Killam’s dad. These 2 will be on hand to greet old friends and new, and perhaps reminisce a bit about the early years of our sport. Vendor List - The following vendors will be exhibiting: Maine Made
